Awesome post! I just wanted to add a couple tips about cleaning brushes that might be helpful. If you’re painting and are coming back for second coats later the same day, you can put your brush in a ziplock bag to keep it from drying out while you’re taking a break. When cleaning your brushes, use Murphy Oil Soap, it really helps to get the paint off and is eco friendly. You can even soak brushes in it and clean them later on if you’re a giant procrastinator like I am 🙂 I love following your progress with this house and am so stoked to see the finished product! Cheers and have a great day! Alexandra February 25, 2015 Jill @ Champagne for Everyday February 25, 2015

However, average cost may vary according to different factors, but the most influential factor is the size of your home. A 1,500 square-feet home will cost less to paint than, say, a 5,000 or 6,000 square-feet home. The number of stories your home has may increase the price, but $1,000 is a safe starting point.
You should paint the outside of your house when temperatures are above 50 degrees. You’ll want to avoid rainy weather and high humidity, so the best times of year in most places are spring or fall.
